Peter Bezlaj

He has been strongly involved in the field of risk management for the past decade, as he was, among others, in charge of risk management, controlling and benchmark analysis in one of the largest Slovenian investment groups and a private equity fund.

At the beginning of his career, he mainly focused on broadening his knowledge in the field of benchmark analysis, formulation of databases, business plans and projections in a private consulting company, where he also got experience with M&A. With the acquired knowledge, he ventured into banking, where he focused on corporate finance at Abanka Vipa (today Nova KBM). During this time, he gained additional experience in M&A and was also involved in numerous debt and equity securities issuance projects.

When the opportunity presented itself, he accepted the challenge and became the Head of Corporate Finance in subsidiary of KD Group, where he was also actively involved in the transformation of the brokerage company into the first Slovenian private bank. After completed transformation he remained at this position, where he also managed a large number of procedures for the issuance of debt securities, listing companies on stock exchange and various divestment processes. He also participated in the bank's credit committee and was a member of the committee for problematic investments. After the sale of the bank, he remained at KD Group, where he became familiar with the area of financial debt restructuring and optimization of capital structure of companies.

Before joining Advance Capital Partners, Peter Bezlaj got into the field of alternative investments, as he assumed the position of Deputy Director of Private Equity at Generali Investments. In this role, he used the acquired know-how to find investment opportunities, prepare valuations, perform due diligence, manage investments and prepare strategies for acquired companies, area which he is currently further upgrading at Advance Capital Partners.
