Matevž Kopač

Matevž began his career at Advance Capital Partners as an intern, where he was responsible for conducting market, industry, and competitive research as well as preparing basic financial analyses and models. With his analytical approach, precision, eagerness to learn, and rapid grasp of complex investment processes, he distinguished himself early on. This quickly led to opportunities to take on more demanding responsibilities. Within a year, thanks to his knowledge and dedication, he became a valuable support to the investment team and advanced to the role of analyst.

In his current role as an analyst at Advance Capital Partners, he conducts comprehensive industry and competitive analyses, develops and maintains financial models,participates in demanding due diligence processes of potential acquisition targets, and prepares investment proposals and presentations for the Investment and Advisory committees He also monitors the performance of portfolio companies, analyzing key business indicators, segment performance, and cash flows.  

In addition to his analytical work, he actively follows macroeconomic developments, market trends, and private equity transactions, preparing internal research to support decision-making. He collaborates closely with the company’s management in shaping investment theses, entry and exit strategies, contributing his expertise to value creation within portfolio companies.

Matevž builds his career on a solid foundation of quantitative knowledge gained at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, University of Ljubljana, where he earned a degree in Financial Mathematics. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in the International Master Programme in Business and Organisation and is in the process of obtaining the CFA designation. By combining mathematical precision with business logic, he successfully supports the investment process at Advance Capital Partners.
